Just Listen

We live in the information age, but there’s so much of it that it all just becomes noise. And much of the information we get isn’t even good.

In the midst of all this noise, wisdom cries out:

Proverbs 8:6 KJV
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

Because we are so overloaded with information, we have lost the fine art of listening. When wisdom says “hear,” she means “listen closely with the intention of applying.” What is good about biblical wisdom is that it pure and right. There’s no “spin” because wisdom is plain-spoken. We can trust everything she tells us. No fact check necessary.

In this age of information overload, it’s good to know there really is a reliable source of information in God’s Word.
